Malien:
The 'Bonus "Sweat" Mix' and 'The Macon Mix' of Belly Dance which both feature across the various formats within this master release would appear to be the same James Brown-sampling mix, albeit at slightly different speeds, which would account for the slightly different running times (5:05 versus 5:10).

Ty Burr:
On this 1988 set Yalil the Paris-based Tunisian singer-actress Amina Annabi carves out an interesting niche: Madonna as belly dancer. Produced by the singer’s husband, Martin Meissonnier (and with French and Arabic lyrics by her mother). The ”Macon Mix” of Amina’s Continental club hit ”Belly Dance” samples the horn riff from James Brown’s ”Cold Sweat”.
